The people behind GPC

We are a non-profit organization which is based on the principle that prosperity can and must be organized, enabling a great majority of people living in poverty to break this vicious cycle. We are furthermore a knowledge network and training company (kennisnetwerk en leerwerkbedrijf) and offers different services, projects and products to the citizens of Almere and also to our partners abroad.

At this moment all the people connected to GPC are volunteers who dedicate their time, expertise and financial support to the GPC cause. Without their involvement and commitment we are not be able to do the work we are doing. Read more.

GPC in a nutshell

One of the important principles within the foundation is the KIDZ principle. Through the sharing and implementation of this principle (Kennis en Innovatie Delen leidt tot Zelfredzaamheid or in English the Sharing of Knowledge and Innovation leads to Self-Help, Self-Reliance and/or Self-Sufficiency) we try to achieve prosperity for groups that has not been able to cope independently. Prosperity in this context does not mean that individuals or groups all of a sudden will be able to achieve all their goals. We facilitate or provide them with the right tools to be able to do so. We believe in the power of education, the sharing of knowledge and in doing so, freeing the mind of those that so far has been bound by the colonial, cultural or traditional set of rules which blocked their abilities of realizing a better way of life. Share your skills!!

GPC is looking for people with skills, expertise and talents that will help us forward in our work!  We invite students, professionals and/or pensioners with many years of working experience are welcome to join our cause. We have listed an overview of the skills and expertise GPC can use. However, if your skills are not listed below, do not hesitate to send us an email to enquire about the possibilities and opportunities. As we try to find sustainable answers for societal issues, we organize GPC mind mapping events from time to time on different topics, so you are welcome to share ideas with us. If you are interested to share your skills or expertise with us, but do not have an extended period of time do get involved, we also have short term projects and you are also able to function as an advisor on the different field where we need not only the hands, but also the beautiful brains! Together we can make the difference!
